Over 40 years being a nonprofit, we needed help to continue making this museum a stable and productive place to be able to tell the story of agriculture in eastern North Carolina for the future. Norman Harrell, chairman of the new Friends of the Tobacco Farm Life Museum, called Barnes the driving force that has helped this museum in becoming a part of the state.
