On the back in period writing is an excellent handwritten note in period pencil: Willie age 7 years & 9 months old weight 50 pounds Billy his Shetland Pony age 4 1/2 years weight 450 pounds for Mother & Father

and overall it's in very good antique condition

Amazing Armed Civil War Soldier Holding Knife! 1/6 Tintype Photo Neff's Patent politician Two of the girls areOriginal sixth plate (1 6) tintype photo of a quadruple armed Civil War soldier. Note that he has one gun holstered, one in his hand, plus one sheathed knife. In his other hand he is holding a second knife it's blurred as if he was swinging it during the shot. Amazing! Tintype is in very good antique condition with no bends. Some light grime on the surface. It's behind glass, and UNCASED, as found. Along the top edge is Neff's Feb 1856 patent.
