Daphne cneorum part-shade Pineleaf penstemon is a goodSweetly scented. Growing many, still a bit small, slow! Garland or Rock Daphne. A nice prostrate, evergreen habit with masses of rich pink fragrant flowers in spring. I saw a lot of it on the Spanish Pyrenees on alpine meadows, patches of pinks all about. So not too hot but it is very tough really. I have one in a partially shaded situation where soil is moist most of the time but it is well drained in my rock garden. I have another in the bulb garden
