This genre became very popular in the late 1870s. Schumann, Chopin, and Liszt also composed them. No. 2, in the key of G minor, is the most lighthearted of the grouping and has been ingeniously arranged for Brass Quintet of advanced performers by Damiano Drei. This arrangement of about 3. 5 minutes in length is fun to perform and to listen to.
