Whiskey helmets mitigate puking and allow the expansion of gases for a small increase in passive reflux and vapour to surface area contact. The addition of a whiskey helmet below a column also allows a small pressure drop in rising vapors. The whiskey helmet includes a 1 2" NPT threaded port with respective thermometer.
