Description

Part of the MV Cape Don series

Inside the Ranger Headquarters at Waratah Park

first as a tuberculosis sanitorium

Built in 1916 across Nattai Creek from the original malthouses

Sunlight pushes through gaps in the structure and lands hard on worn steps and crumbling concrete surrounds

Bombala Station architecture Part of the MV CapeLooking south to the end of the line at Bombala Railway Station, the 88 metre platform stretches out against the flat Monaro tableland. The Nimmitabel Bombala section opened 21 November 1921 and closed to all traffic 26 March 1986. The yard was never designed as a terminus; the line was surveyed to push on to Orbost in Victoria. It never did. Part of the Bombala Station series.
