The original photographer painted the back of the image so that the color would show through to the front

He's identified inside of the case in period pencil:Mr

with some damages to the pages and albumitself

stable hairline crack or two and one of the pins is missing from the back

I havent taken this out of this case because the image side top rail is slightly popped out and I dont want to damage it more but I see a very light scratch or two on his left shoulder and background in that area, so it's probably not sealed. Other than that, the condition is very good. Besides the slightly loose rail the rest of the case is very good. 5507(x)
