The back of the pincushion is an adaptation I made using a Quaker alphabet from an Ackworth sampler I own - I also added part of the floral border to the back to match the front

While Shaker samplers are rare and typically very basic marking examples, this is a sweet tribute from AW to her friend Emeline using a variety of colors and a precious verse.
