In it, he grants Price's argument that the American Colonies are people of greater prayer and personal piety than those of England. That, Fletcher asserts, is all the more shameful in that the Americans are still wrong and England still correct. Fletcher calls for a national repentance; that their soldiers be sent with prayer, fasting, and repentance.
