Soil Sampling Guide: How to Collect and Send Your Soil Sample
Ideal Sampling Location:
- A single sample should represent 1-2.5 acres. Avoid areas like freshly fertilized plots, tree boundaries, or marshy regions.
Depth of Soil Sampling:
- Shallow-rooted crops (cereals, vegetables): 0-15 cm
- Deep-rooted crops (e.g., cotton, sugarcane): 0-30 cm, 30-60 cm, or 60-90 cm
- Saline soils: 0-15 cm
Sampling Process:
- Remove any surface debris or grass from the sampling spot.
- Use a spade or auger to collect soil at a depth of 15 cm.
- Mix the collected soil thoroughly and reduce the sample size to 500 grams.
- Let the sample dry naturally in the shade.
- Label the sample with your name, address, plot number, and sample collection date.

- Pack the Sample: Place your labeled soil sample in a clean, sealable plastic bag.
- Shipping: Choose a reliable courier or postal service to send the sample to the address provided by our sales executive.
- Payment for Courier: You will be responsible for courier charges, and we do not take responsibility for any damage or loss during shipment.
